Top Picks- Week of January 30

Thanks to the Screen Actor's Guild Awards and Miley Cyrus' mental meltdown, I've got plenty of fashion fodder for the week.

Unfortunately there can only be one winner for each category.

100% Fierce: Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet, always the classic beauty, marveled the crowd in this spectacular, and certainly flattering, blue fitted gown at the SAG Awards.

Winslet, who's got two movies coming out this winter, will likely do better with her dressing then choice of scripts. Revolutionary Road, the drama starring Leo DeCaprio (yes, the one and only), looks like the most overrated movie of the year with nothing but a bunch of sob scenes and dramatic music. The Reader, on the other hand, stars Winslet as a Nazi, which should make for some jack ass commentary as soon as I see it on an airplane or HBO.

Good work on the outfit, Kate. Not so sure about the movie choices.

What the hell is wrong with this girl? I'll spare her the ridicule of being 80 lbs but COME ON. Did your dress get caught in the paper shredder on the way to the red carpet? Are you intending to fight crime with that cape?

100% HOT MESS: Miley Cyrus

Now, I know we haven't talked much about Miley on this site before. That's because she's a child and I won't give her the time of day.

But I couldn't resist commentary on this unfortunate display of ghetto chic/bohemian stupidity.

Somebody keep her away from West Hollywood, where she's clearing getting all of her fashion tips from crack-seeking prostitutes.
